Blenheim Lodge
Has been a Registered Charity since 1978, No 276926, and is run by a dedicated Board of Governors who are also Trustees of the Charity. The Home is registered, with the Care Quality Commission, to deliver care for up to 30 residents. All income generated is reinvested into the upkeep and welfare of the Home and Resident.
Home & Location
Blenheim Lodge provides a home from home for up to 30 permanent residents. The rooms are all decorated to a high standard and have views of either the sea, hills or Blenheim Gardens. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities and are fully furnished although we do encourage residents to bring their own special items with them to make it feel like their own home. The Home has a number of communal areas ranging from a beautiful upstairs lounge with views of the sea, a large airy dining room, a sunny conservatory leading out onto a patio as well as a number of other rooms and quiet areas. There is a lift from the ground floor to first floor.
Blenheim Lodge is well placed for our residents to make the most of the picturesque areas of Minehead. A stroll along the promenade could take a resident either to the steam railway station or to the pier to watch the fishing boats or even take a look around the lifeboat station. Blenheim Lodge is situated next to the pleasant Blenheim Gardens where many a quiet hour can be spent sitting in the sunshine and watching the world pass by or listening to the Band. Also within easy strolling distance, and on the flat, is the town centre with the shops, cafes and a theatre. All can be enjoyed by our residents with or without help from our staff.
Our Aims are
To deliver care to our residents aligned with our core value “that every resident has the right to a high quality service, promoting independence and individuality in an environment of respect, non discrimination, confidentiality, equality, diversity and safety”.
Our objectives are:
