Q What happens if I become ill?
A Your G.P. will be called whenever necessary, and, in the first instance you will be cared for by Blenheim Lodge staff and, if necessary, in conjunction with the multi-function team. If the G.P. deems it necessary for you to go to hospital – arrangements will be made for your transport to/from hospital. Your wishes will always be taken into account and shortly after admission to Blenheim Lodge we will discuss these wishes with you for future reference. They will be reviewed annually or earlier at your request.
Q. Can I bring my own furniture into the Home?
A. At Blenheim Lodge we provide a simply furnished bedroom for each resident but we are more than happy to discuss with each resident on the items they wish to bring with them. All furniture and electrical items are subject to regulations in regard to Health and Safety and Fire. We encourage residents to personalise their own room in order to feel more like their own home.
Q . What Activities does the Home Offer?
A . We provide a range of ever changing activities which depend greatly on residents requests.
Q. When can I have visitors?
A. Your visitors can visit at any time of the day, subject to the residents’ approval. However, we would ask that visitors do not call at meal times.
Q. Can I come and go as I please?
A. Blenheim Lodge is your home and as such you are encouraged to be as independent as you wish. We would ask you to indicate, on the residents' board, if you have left the building and when you return, in order for us to be able to account for everyone in the building if necessary.
Q. Can I smoke?
A. Blenheim Lodge has a NO SMOKING policy. However, smoking is permitted in the only acceptable area (current government smoking rules) which is at the side of the building, between the car park and the patio area at the back.
